'Subramaniapuram', the classic Tamil hit released in 2008, is a favorite for many, and the rural action drama features Sasikumar and Jai in the main roles. Directed by Sasikumar, 'Subramaniapuram' also marked the acting debut of the director, and the film had a successful theatrical run. As 'Subramaniapuram' completes 15 years, the film has been re-released in several locations in Tamil Nadu, and the film has had great occupancy. While 'Subramaniapuram' actors Sasikumar and Jai watched the film along with fans in a popular theater in Chennai, they were overwhelmed by the audience's response to the 15-year-old film.

Sasikumar and Jai have also shared their happiness with fans after seeing the immense response to the film. Sasikumar thanked everyone who was involved in the film's production and introduced them to the audience as well. Jai, who then addressed the fans, felt happy to see the occupancy for the film's re-release and thanked Sasikumar for his career-changing opportunity since all he is now is because of 'Subramaniapuram'. Samuthirakani, who played the antagonist in 'Subramaniapuram', has also made his presence known for the special screening, and he wishes to see the immense love of fans continue forever.

Sasikumar's directorial and acting debut, 'Subramaniapuram, features Jai and the director-actor in main roles, with Samuthirakani, Ganja Karuppu, Swathi, and Maari, among others, in important roles. James Vasanthan scored the music, and the film, which struggled to release later, turned out to be a huge hit with positive reviews from the audience.
