Tamil Nadu chief minister Jayalalithaa's friendship with Sasikala is well-known throughout the state. Now, Sasikala's nephew V Bhaskaran is turning hero with the action film Thalaivan. Bhasakaran, who has christened himself as Bas for the big screen, will play the lead in the film which will go to floors next month. Taking a usual revenge story, we hear, director Ramesh Selvan (of
Ulavu Thurai fame) has come up with a different treatment and promises a high-voltage action film.
Playing the female leads are
Nikesha Patel and
Sana Khan. The cast also includes
Santhanam, Suman, Jayaprakash, Illavarasan, Vincent Asokan, Suresh Krishna, Ilavarasu and Kota Srinivasa Rao among others.
The movie has story and dialogues by Jaffer while music is by G V Prakash Kumar. Editing is by Anthony, art by Shanmugham, Cinematography by S K Boopathy, choreography by Shobi and Asokraj Shankar. Anal Arasu takes care of stunts while production managers are Malaisaral Ravi and Sivasankaran.
The shooting for the movie would start in Chennai on September 15 and will take place in Goa, Hyderabad, Munnar and Sikkim. Plans are on to release the film in February. The film is been produced by Chitirai Selvan.
