, whose last release was Vijay’s ‘Sarkar’ will be directing Rajinikanth for the first time in this film.
Rumours have been doing the rounds that this could be a political film, serving as a launch pad for Thalaivar into politics, however there has been no official confirmation. The latest news is that
Santosh Sivan, one of the best cinematographers in the industry will be working in this project. Santosh Sivan, last worked with Rajnikanth in mega hit ‘Thalapathy’ directed by Mani Ratnam.
Santosh Sivan took to his micro-blogging page to confirm the news, he tweeted, “Finally very excited to work with Rajini Sir after Thalapathy.”
After seeing Thalaivar at his usual best in ‘Petta’, this news is like icing in the cake for Rajini fans, who are waiting to see their Thalaivar through Santosh’s lenses after 28 years. This will be the third time Santosh Sivan is collaborating with AR Murugadoss after ‘Thuppaki’ and ‘Spyder’.
