It is known that the 2019 hit Telugu film 'Agent Sai Srinivasa Athreya' starring Naveen Polishetty and Shruti Sharma, is being remade in Tamil with Santhanam in the lead role. 'Vanjagar Ulagam' fame Manoj Beedha has been directing the Tamil remake, and the makers have now announced that the film titled 'Agent Kannayiram' will hit the screens on November 25.
Santhanam is reprising Naveen's role in the remake which is titled 'Agent Kannayiram', as his character will be a stylish one. Along with Santhanam, Riya Suman, Sruthi Hariharan, Pugazh, Munishkanth, Redin Kingsley, E Ramdas, Indhumathy, Madhan Dhakshinamoorthy and Aadhira are playing important roles in the remake.
The film revolves around an aspiring detective hailing from a small town. He takes up an intriguing case and starts investigating it, but little did he know that he would come across some startling revelations about a dreaded gang. Yuvan Shankar Raja is the music director of Agent Kannayiram, and his background score is expected to be one of the highlights of the film.
The director has made some minor corrections to the Telugu superhit to suit the film to the Tamil audience. The shooting of the film was wrapped up earlier this month and is gearing up hit the screens.
