Director turned actor
Samuthirakani can be seen playing the role of a
writer
at a police station in his upcoming film titled 'Writer'. While the first look posters of the film featuring Samuthirakani in khaki uniform were released earlier in April on Tamil New Year's Day, the film is all set for release and will hit the screen on December 24, 2021.

's has produced this film, which has been directed by
Franklin Jacob under his Neelam Productions along with Little Red Car Films and Golden Ration Films. The film also stars Hari Krishnan, Lizzie Antony and Maheshwari in important roles.
The film has been cleared by the Censor Board with an U/A certificate. The technical team consists of Govind Vasantha composing music, Pratheep Kaliraja handling the cinematography and editor Mani incharge of the cuts.
