Samuthirakani's Writer teaser promises an intense drama

Director turned actor Samuthirakani will be seen playing the role of a writer at a police station in his upcoming film titled 'Writer'. With the film all set for release on December 24, 2021, the makers have released a teaser for the film directed by directed by Franklin Jacob.
The close to two minute teaser gives the audience a glimpse of how intense the film is going to be with some bold and hard hitting dialogues.Samuthirakani apparently plays a writer in the police department who is posted on punishment to a certain station where injustice is wreaked on an innocent. The film seems to deal with how a powerless lower ranked policeman takes on the powerful higher ranked policemen within the department.
After producting the acclaimed 'Pariyerum Perumal' and 'Irandam Ulagaporin Kadaisi Gundu', director Pa Ranjith's has produced this film under his Neelam Productions along with Little Red Car Films and Golden Ration Films. The film also stars Hari Krishnan, Lizzie Antony and Maheshwari in important roles.
The film has been cleared by the Censor Board with an U/A certificate. The technical team consists of Govind Vasantha composing music, Pratheep Kaliraja handling the cinematography and editor Mani incharge of the cuts.
