Samuthirakani & Kathir's 'Thalaikoothal' trailer

It is known that director turned actor Samuthirakani is part of 'Thalaikoothal' written and directed by Jayaprakash. Produced by Sashikanth's YNot Studios, the film also stars actor Kathir of 'Pariyerum Perumal' fame and Vasundhara in important roles. With the film all set to hit the screens on February 3, 2023, the makers have released the trailer of the film.
The trailer promises a gripping and emotional drama that focuses on the value of human life and the trauma & suffering a family goes through when deciding the fate of their family member who is in coma.

The film talks about 'Thalaikoothal', the traditional practice of senicide (killing of the elderly), by their own family members, observed in some parts of southern districts of Tamil Nadu. The technical crew consists of music by Kannan Narayanan, cinematography by Martin Donraj, with Dani Charles as the editor.
