Actress Trisha is now basking in the success of ‘Ponniyin Selvan’. Playing the role of Chola princess Kundavai, she made a strong comeback in Tamil cinema after a few years. The actress is currently shooting for her next film titled ‘The Road’ which is directed by debutant Arun Vaseegaran.
The film was announced in April this year and it stars Trisha, Santhosh Prathap, Shabeer Kalarkal, Miya George, MS Bhaskar among others. The music for the film is composed by Sam CS. Taking to Twitter, the music composer shared the first glimpse of ‘The Road – Revenge in 462 kms’.

Reportedly, the story of the film ‘The Road’ is based on a real-life incident that happened in Madurai in the early 2000s. The makers of the film released the first look poster a while back and now the first motion poster has been launched. The new motion poster shows Trisha seeking revenge vengefully with a gun in her hand. It is expected that after ‘Thoongavanam’, the film will have Trisha playing action sequences.
