A few days ago, we had reported that
Yogi Babu is teaming up with Sam Anton for an upcoming film. On Saturday,
Sivakarthikeyan unveiled the first look of the film, which has been titled ‘
Gurkha
’.
Sharing the poster on
Twitter, Sivakarthikeyan wrote, “Happy to launch the first look of #Gurkha ��My Wishes to the lead actor @iYogiBabu ..Very happy for him��Best wishes to @4monkeysStudio my dear friends @AntonyLRuben @dancersatz @dhilipaction Dir @samanton21 and full team����.”
Going by the first look poster, it looks like Yogi Babu is playing the role of a security guard at a mall. Being produced by Sam Anton along with his friends, ‘Gurkha’ is expected to release sometime in 2019. On the contrary to earlier reports, Yogi Babu is not playing the lead role in this one.
In fact, Yogi Babu, in a video message, said, “People have spread some wrong information about my next project. In Sam Anton’s film, a foreigner and a dog are playing the lead roles. As usual, I play a comical role. I wish to continue my journey as a comedian in Tamil and I would like to clarify that I don’t have any idea of playing a hero.”
On the work front, Yogi Babu awaits the release of biggies like ‘
Viswasam
’ and ‘Sarkar’ among others.
