Actress Sai Pallavi who was last seen in the Tamil film 'Gargi' is awaiting the release of her film 'Amaran' that stars Sivakarthikeyan in the lead role. Directed by Rajkumar Periasamy, the film is produced by Kamal Haasan and it is set to hit theatres this year. The film is based on real life events and it is the biopic of late Major Mukund Vardharajan. Headlined by Sivakarthikeyan, Sai Pallavi plays his wife in the film.

'Amaran's plot focuses on who major Mukund Vardharajan lost his life at the Shopian encounter in 2014 while fighting the Pakistan terrorists. The movie's cast includes Sivakarthikeyan, Sai Pallavi, Bhuvan Arora, Rahul Bose, Lallu, Hanun Bawra, Ajaey Naga Raaman, Mir Salman, and Gaurav, among others. The music is composed by GV Prakash and it is scheduled for a release this Diwali.
On the work front, the actress also has her Telugu film 'Thandel' alongside Naga Chaitanya. Directed by Chandoo Mondeti, the film is based on real events that happened to the Srikakulam fishermen in 2010.
