SA Chandrasekhar to miss Vijayakanth's funeral; shares a voice note from Dubai

The passing away of popular Tamil actor Vijayakanth has saddened the Kollywood circle, while social media is flooded with condolence messages. Several Tamil cinema stars have been sharing their grief over Vijayakanth's demise, while stars from other industries are also mourning the demise of the popular actor. Director-actor SA Chandrasekhar has also posted a condolence message on Vijayakanth's demise, and the former will be missing out on attending the funeral of the latter.

SA Chandrasekhar called Vijayakanth his dearest friend, and the director tried to meet the actor once in the last two years as he wished to have a lovely time with the friendly actor. But he couldn't get the opportunity and stated that God hasn't permitted him to pay his last tribute to Vijayakanth as he is currently in Dubai. SA Chandrasekhar then called Vijayakanth's demise the end of an era in cinema and politics and prayed for the actor's soul to rest in peace.

SA Chandrasekhar and Vijayakanth have worked together in 15 films, and they are one of the most successful director-actor combos in Tamil cinema. SA Chandrasekhar's second directorial 'Sattam Oru Iruttarai' marked the director's first film with Vijayakanth, and it gave the much-needed break for the director to emerge as a leading Tamil director. Vijayakanth's films under SA Chandrasekhar's direction turned out to be huge hits, and the actor played supporting roles in some of his directions. The director-actor duo share a great friendship, and we have seen them share their respect for each other at multiple events in the past.
