The passing away of popular Tamil actor Vijayakanth has saddened the Kollywood circle, while social media is flooded with condolence messages. Several Tamil cinema stars have been sharing their grief over Vijayakanth's demise, while stars from other industries are also mourning the demise of the popular actor. Director-actor SA Chandrasekhar has also posted a condolence message on Vijayakanth's demise, and the former will be missing out on attending the funeral of the latter.

Vijayakanth his dearest friend, and the director tried to meet the actor once in the last two years as he wished to have a lovely time with the friendly actor. But he couldn't get the opportunity and stated that God hasn't permitted him to pay his last tribute to Vijayakanth as he is currently in Dubai. SA Chandrasekhar then called Vijayakanth's demise the end of an era in cinema and politics and prayed for the actor's soul to rest in peace.
