According to the Sacnilk website, on day 8 (Thursday), the film earned an estimated Rs 1.75 crore net across all languages, taking its total India net collection to Rs 52.70 crore. After an impressive opening day haul of Rs 19.25 crore, the film saw expected drops but maintained consistent weekend numbers.

On May 8, ‘Retro’ recorded an overall Tamil occupancy of 15.32%, with a stronger response during afternoon (17.39%) and night shows (17.66%). The Telugu version saw an overall occupancy of 11.25%, slightly lower but steady, with marginally better footfall in the evening and night slots.
