Reason behind naming Kavin's next film as ‘Dada’ revealed

It’s known that Kavin's film with debutant director Ganesh K Babu has been titled

Dada

. The makers announced the title and shared the first-look poster of the film on social media a couple of days ago. In a press note, Ganesh had also said that the reason behind this title is its familiarity. “Everyone would have mentioned this word or come across it at least once in their lifetime. Besides, the title has a lot of significance and relevance to the script,” he states.

So, what’s the significance, we asked Ganesh, and he reluctantly told us, “Dada is another way of calling your father. Also, when a child starts babbling, he/she says dadada…, among other sounds. So, we thought it would be apt to title our film Dada."

The first-look poster of the film, which also stars Aparna Das in the lead, showed Kavin in a campus, carrying a baby in a baby carrier. We asked Ganesh if Kavin was playing a father in the film, and he said, “Revealing anything at this stage will completely let out the story. There can be many assumptions and interpretations for the poster, and the audience will know the answer when the film releases.”

The team is presently shooting in Chennai. The film, which also stars

Bhagyaraj

and Aishwarya in important roles, is a romantic drama and will document the lifestyle of today's generation.
