Ravi Mohan starrer drops ‘Bro Code’ title in the new poster, to release on OTT after theatrical release
Ravi Mohan's debut production, formerly 'Bro Code,' is set for a release amidst a legal dispute over its title. The film is directed by Karthik Yogi and features Ravi Mohan and SJ Suryah in the lead roles. The absence of title in the new poster has sparked speculations.
Ravi Mohan’s debut production is gearing up for release. Steamer Netflix recently unveiled its Tamil slate for the year 2026, and the Pandigai campaign also featured Ravi Mohan’s upcoming film, which was originally titled ‘Bro Code’. However, the new poster featured on the streamer’s social handle had no title.

‘Bro Code’ title missing

The new poster for Ravi Mohan’s film conspicuously removed the previously announced title ‘Bro Code,’ replacing it with ‘Ravi Mohan Studios Production Number 1’. Though the case is still in court, the absence of the title in the new poster has led many to wonder if the makers are looking for a new name.
How Malayalam Cinema Quietly Dominated Indian Cinema in 2025
“Honesty might be the best policy, but at what cost? Production No. 1 is coming to Netflix after its theatrical release, in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, Malayalam, and Kannada,” the streamer said, launching the poster.
Ravi Mohan’s film ran into a legal tussle when a liquor and beverage company initiated a copyright lawsuit against the project over the title ‘Bro Code’. The actor alleged that the issue arose after he turned down the offer to feature their product in the film. In a press statement, Ravi Mohan’s team said, “The beverages team asked Ravi Mohan to promote their brand in the film.
Ravi Mohan refused it, as it would set a wrong example.” The statement added that the company’s move to approach the Delhi High Court was a reaction to this. “The beverage company has registered a case in Delhi against the title and has not challenged the Madras High Court verdict so far.”The Madras High Court ruled in Ravi Mohan's favor in November, allowing his studio to use the title after prior registration in the entertainment category, countering the Delhi HC's interim injunction from October.

All about Ravi Mohan’s upcoming film

The upcoming film is directed by Karthik Yogi, who has previously helmed films such as ‘Dikkiloona’, ‘Vadakkupatti’, and ‘Ramasamy’. Ravi Mohan and SJ Suryah play the lead roles in the upcoming film. "SJ Suryah's character will be positive, likeable, and equally important to Ravi anna. They were both my first choices for the film. Their combination felt exciting even while I was writing. When I narrated the story to Ravi anna, I did so by mimicking SJ Suryah so that he would get the feel of how it would be when SJ Suryah comes on board. I knew he would be the right fit for the role. He was a bit busy, but he managed to give us dates in between all his other commitments," the director told Chennai Times earlier. The film also has Arjun Ashokan, Shraddha Srinath, Sri Gouri Priya, Malavika Manoj, Upendra Limaye, and Aishwarya Raj in pivotal roles. Also See: Hindi Movies | Telugu Movies | Tamil Latest Movies
