Actor Ravi Mohan is currently acting in films like ‘Genie’, ‘Karathey Babu’, and ‘Parasakthi’. In addition, he is also producing the film ‘Bro Code’ through his own production company, ‘Ravi Mohan Studios’, which he has started.
Production house claims Ravi Mohan failed to return ₹6 crore
According to Cinema Vikatan, a company called Bobby Touch Gold Universal filed a case against Ravi Mohan in the Madras High Court. The petition states, “Although he was contracted to act in a film for a salary of Rs. 15 crore and was given an advance of Rs. 6 crore, he did not return that money.” Instead, he is starting a private production company and producing the film ‘Bro Code.’ Therefore, the court should order the return of the advance payment,” it was requested. When the case came up for hearing, the court ordered Ravi Mohan to respond to the petitioner's request and adjourned the hearing.
Ravi Mohan counters with a ₹9 crore compensation demand
Following this, a counter-petition was filed on behalf of Ravi Mohan. In it, he stated, “Although I gave the call sheet as per the contract, the production company did not start shooting. This has caused me financial loss. Therefore, a compensation of Rs. 9 crore should be paid," the demand was made. When this case also came up for hearing, the court gave the production company time to file its response and subsequently adjourned it.
Deadline missed, petitioner moves to freeze Ravi Mohan’s assets
Both cases were taken up for hearing on the same day last month, when the court ordered the appointment of a mediator to resolve the issue. The court also announced that Ravi Mohan must file his property documents worth Rs. 5.90 crore within four weeks, with the last date for doing so being August 20, 2025. However, appearing in court yesterday (August 20), lawyer Vijayan Subramanian, representing the production company, said, “As per the court order, Ravi Mohan did not file the property documents by the due date.” Therefore, he requested that the court order the freezing of his assets. The judge allowed this request to be filed as a petition and said that a hearing would be held after it was filed.
