We had earlier reported that Dhruv Vikram’s debut film 'Varmaa', which is the official remake of the Telugu blockbuster 'Arjun Reddy' will be re-shot with new cast and crew including the director after the makers announced that they were not happy with Varmaa's first copy provided by Bala's B Studios. Following this, it was announced that the film will be re-shot with Banita Sandhu, who made her acting debut in Shoojit Sircar's 'October' as the heorine.

The latest addition to the project is accalimed cinematographer Ravi K Chandran. The makers of the film took to Twitter to share this information. They said, “Happy to have

on board as our DOP for the Tamil remake of Arjun Reddy Welcome back to Tamil Cinema after 7aum Arivu.” (sic)

The shooting of the film is expected to start in March, and the team is hoping for a May release. Now, the team is finalising the rest of the cast and crew. The buzz is that Sandeep Vanga's (director of Arjun Reddy) assistant will be directing the remake now. But we will have to wait for official confirmation.
