Last week, the team of #Vishal31 kickstarted their film with a poojai in the city. While
Dimple Hayathi, who made her Kollywood debut with Devi 2, will be playing the female lead in the
Thu Pa Saravanan directorial, there were rumours of
Raveena Ravi joining the team as well. We have now learnt from a reliable source that the actress-dubbing artiste is indeed part of the film and has, in fact, shot for two days as well.
The source says, “Raveena landed this role because of her last release,
Kavalthurai Ungal Nanban
(KUN). That film’s cinematographer, Vishnushri, used to assist Balasubramaniem, who’s handling the camera for #Vishal31. When the latter had told him they were looking for an actress for a particular role in the film, Vishnu suggested Raveena’s name and asked them to watch KUN. They were quite impressed with her performance and got her on board last month.”
The source adds, “Raveena was supposed to shoot for 20 days for the film, but after two days of filming, the shoot has now been temporarily halted because of the lockdown. The team will start filming again after two weeks.”
