'Rathnam' director Hari reveals his dropped plans for a cinematic universe in 'Singam 3'

Director Hari is one of the most entertaining directors in Tamil cinema, and he is popular for delivering fast-paced action dramas. Hari is next preparing to deliver 'Rathnam' featuring Vishal in the lead role, and the film is gearing up to release in theaters on April 26. Hari has involved himself in the extensive promotion of 'Rathnam' and shared several insights about the film. In a recent YouTube interview, Hari shared a secret about his dropped plan for 'Singam 3'. Lokesh Kanagaraj has set a cinematic universe trend by bringing in stars across his directories, and the latest trend is well-liked by fans. But Hari had plans to make a cinematic universe in 2013 itself.

Hari has delivered the respective cop series 'Saamy' and 'Singam' with Vikram and Suriya. In an interview with Cineulagam, Hari revealed that he had a plan to have a sequence where Vikram's Aarusaamy character and Suriya's Durai Singam character meet up in 'Singam 3'. But he failed to make it happen for some reason, and it would have been a blast in theaters if he went according to his plan.

Directed by Hari, 'Rathnam' features Vishal and Priya Bhavani Shankar in the main roles, and it's going to be a pakka action entertainer. Devi Sri Prasad is scoring the music, and the film is all set to hit the big screens on April 26.
