Rakshita ditches BSR Congress

Veteran actress Rakshita has quit the BSR Congress and has joined the Janata Dal (Secular), which is led by the former Prime Minister H D Deve Gowda.
Rakshita had recently stated that she would be withdrawing from the poll fray. The Madurai actress was supposed to contest the elections from the Chamarajanagara Assembly constituency on BSR Congress ticket.
But yesterday, the actress met HD Deve Gowda and announced that she had joined the Janata Dal(Secular).However, what is not clear is if the actress would contest in the elections.
The actress at the same time clarified that her exit from BSR Congress had nothing to do with the arrival of Pooja Gandhi in that party, who is contesting the elections on the BSR Congress ticket from Raichur.
