Filmmaker and renowned cinematographer Rajiv Menon will be honored with the prestigious Nemai Ghosh Award by the SICA (Southern India Cinematographers Association). The award is named after veteran photographer & Padma Shri awardee Nemai Ghosh, who passed away in 2020.
Nemai Ghosh is known for working with director Satyajit Ray as a still photographer who captured the director, framing actors over 2 decades. Announcing the award, the SICA wrote, "SICA is honored to announce that the prestigious Nemai Ghosh Award will be presented to renowned filmmaker and cinematographer
Rajiv Menon at a special event on Sunday, December 2nd. Join us as we celebrate his remarkable contributions to Indian cinema."
Rajiv Menon is known for his cinematography work in films like Mani Ratnam's Bombay, Guru and Kadal apart from his directorial film Minsara Kanavu, Kandukondain Kandukondain and Sarvam Thaal
