Rajini’s car from Sivaji features in this thriller

Aryan Shyam, from the AVM family, will be making his debut as an actor with Antha Naal, a crime thriller. “This is not a remake of the Sivaji Ganesan classic. We felt that this title would be apt and I requested my father-in-law, MS Guhan, to let us use this title as their production house had produced the yesteryear film,” says the debutant, who is playing a director in the film.
Aryan, who previously went by the name Maitreya (director Mysskin had changed his name when he’d wanted to cast him), has chosen to use his real name now.
The plot revolves around a director and his assistants who go to a building to discuss a script, but findt hemselves trapped in it. “Though it might seem like a horror film, it is actually a crime thriller,” says the actor.
Mollywood actress Leema Babu and Aadhya, a newcomer from Kerala, play the heroines, while Rajkumar (of Naduvula Konjam Pakkatha Kaanom fame) and Imman Annachi form the rest of the cast. The film is directed by Vivy. “He has already directed a film, Narai, which is ready for release. He screened that film to me, and since I liked it, I agreed to do this one,” informs Aryan, “We have finished shooting the film, and the post-production work is going on now.”
Interestingly, the team has used a car that Rajinikanth drove in Sivaji in this film. “Since I play a filmmaker, the director wanted my character’s car to be a high-end SUV. I particularly wanted this car and once again, my father-in-law agreed to let us use the very same car that was used in Sivaji,” gushes the actor.
