Superstar Rajinikanth's 'Vettaiyan', directed by TJ Gnanavel, is nearing completion with the post production work in full swing. While there was a buzz that the film will release for Diwali 2024, the makers have officially announced that film will hit the screens on October 10, 2024.
With this, looks like Rajinikanth's 'Vettaiyan' is all set to clash with Suriya's 'Kanguva' on October 10. Announcing the release date, the production house wrote, "Target locked �� VETTAIYAN ��️ is set to hunt in cinemas worldwide from OCTOBER 10th, 2024! ��️ Superstar �� as Supercop! �� Releasing in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi & Kannada!"
Producer KE Gnanavel Raja, who has produced Suriya's 'Kanguva' had earlier said that both and he and Suriya have huge respect on Rajinikanth and so they had decided to release their film on October 10, since they believed that 'Vettaiyan' team were planning a Diwali release. Now with 'Vettiyan' also releasing on October 10, we will have to wait and see if 'Kanguva' gets postponed or will it clash head on with 'Vettaiyan'.
'Vettaiyan' is said to be based on a true incident, and Rajinikanth will be portraying the character of a Muslim police officer. The film has a huge star cast which includes Bollywood legendary actor Amitabh Bachchan, Telugu star Rana Daggubati, Malayalam star Fahadh Faasil, Manju Warrier, Ritika Singh, and Dushara Vijayan in important roles. The movie is backed by Lyca Productions, and music will be done by music sensation Anirudh Ravichander.
