Rajinikanth to play a police officer in TJ Gnanavel’s next

Earlier this year, we reported that filmmaker TJ Gnanavel, of Jai Bhim fame, was in talks to collaborate with Rajinikanth. We have learnt that the project has been finalised.
A source in the know revealed, “The pre-production work has already begun. It’s a very powerful film similar to Jai Bhim. The story is based on a true incident, and the superstar will be seen playing the role of a Muslim police officer in the movie.”
The Superstar is presently shooting for director Nelson Dilipkumar’s Jailer. An official announcement is likely to be made after Rajinikanth wraps up shooting for the action drama that also features Jackie Shroff, added the source.
