Sukra films, who were the major distributors of ���Lingaa��� in Coimbatore, moved the Madras High Court to secure a stay on Kabali���s release until they are paid a compensation of Rs 89 Lakhs.
However, the High Court was having none of it.
The chief justice presiding over the matter dismissed the plea for putting a stay on Kabali���s release. The court announced that the petitioners can file a separate case seeking compensation for their losses, but there will be no stay on the film���s release.
