TJ Gnanavel revealed that Rajinikanth prefers listening to narrations rather than reading scripts. Remarkably, just two days after TJ Gnanavel narrated the story of 'Vettaiyan', Rajinikanth recounted the entire plot in just one hour, showcasing his grasp of the character and narrative. The Superstar actor had numerous questions about his role, sending TJ Gnanavel voice notes every morning with queries about different scenes. TJ Gnanavel compared Rajinikanth’s respect for him to the reverence he has for his mentor, K. Balachander, attributing this humility and dedication to the actor's enduring popularity across generations.
The delightful director has skillfully blended his unique filmmaking style with Rajinikanth's magnetic screen presence and hopes 'Vettaiyan' will satisfy both his audience and Rajinikanth’s fans. In the film, Rajinikanth plays an encounter specialist, drawing inspiration from real-life police officers to bring authenticity to his portrayal.

Vettaiyan is set to hit theatres on October 10, releasing in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, and Kannada languages. The star-studded cast includes Amitabh Bachchan, Manju Warrier, Fahadh Faasil, Rana Daggubati, Dushara Vijayan, Ritika Singh, and Rakshan, with music composed by Anirudh Ravichander.
