Rajinikanth, Kamal Haasan, and Dhanush join Vetri Maaran's 'Viduthalai'

Director Vetri Maaran has been inspiring with his classic film and is currently directing 'Viduthalai' featuring Soori and Vijay Sethupathi in lead roles. Now, the latest report suggests that Rajinikanth, Kamal Haasan, and Dhanush have joined forces for Vetri Maaran's 'Viduthalai'. Directed by Vetri Maaran, 'Viduthalai' is based on the novel 'Thunaivan' written by Kalki, and the film has music scored by Ilaiyaraaja. Rajinikanth, Kamal Haasan, and Dhanush have recorded songs for 'Viduthalai' which are composed by Ilaiyaraaja. The song sung by Dhanush is expected to be released next, while the songs crooned respectively by Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan will be a surprise track.

'Viduthalai' is planned to be made in two parts, and the shootings for both parts are planned to be completed at one go. Vetri Maaran is to film an intense train action sequence for the film next, and the makers have estimated Rs 8 crores to film the important scene. 'Viduthalai', which was initially planned to be made on a budget of Rs 4 crores, has crossed ten times than that to go over a budget of Rs 40 crores. Vetri Maaran is keenly shaping up the film since it's his 15 years of the dream of making the Thunaivan novel into a film.

Soori plays a cop, while Vijay Sethupathi plays a prisoner, and the first look posters of both were earlier published by the makers. The first part of 'Viduthalai' might be released this year, while the second part will also be released a quick time later.
