Rajinikanth's 1995 Tamil release 'Muthu' remastered version has been announced to release in theatres on December 8, and fans are getting ready to give a grand welcome for the film. Meanwhile, Kamal Haasan's 2001 film 'Aalavandhan' is also slated for a re-release on December 8, and the makers have turned on the promotion for the film to give a wide welcome for the film during its re-release after 22 years. The re-release of two classic Tamil films has fixed the Tamil cinema fans to revisit a box office clash between Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan after 18 years, and it's going to be a nostalgic moment for the fans for sure.



Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan previously locked horns at the box office during the occasion of the 2005 Tamil New Year as both their films 'Chandramukhi' and 'Mumbai Xpress' were released for the same festival. 'Chandramukhi' smashed 'Mumbai Xpress' at the box office, and the Rajinikanth starrer went on to become a huge hit at the box office with a theatrical run of over 300 days.
