Raghava Lawrence will appear in a cameo in Shanmuga Pandian’s Padai Thalaivan. The actor will start shooting for his portions next week for seven to 10 days, informs director U Anbu.
About casting Raghava Lawrence in his film, the director shares, “When Vijayakant sir had died, Master (Raghava Lawrence) mentioned in a video about wanting to work with Shanmuga Pandian. When we saw the video, we approached him for a cameo, and he immediately said yes.”
He tells us that the cameo will appear at a crucial point in the film. “His cameo will be the soul of Padai Thalaivan. He will appear at the biggest turning point in the film. I can't say anything about the character, as it would be like revealing the entire story of the film,” shares Anbu.
Anbu reveals that Raghava Lawrence hasn’t asked for any remuneration for the project. He says, “Master has a lot of respect for Captain’s family. He said that he has postponed his own projects to be a part of the film. Moreover, he hasn't charged a single penny.”
Padai Thalaivan will showcase the bond between a human and an elephant. About the plot of the film, Anbu states, “The protagonist will go to any extent when his elephant gets into a problem. It's a commercial action film that will present Shanmuga Pandian as an action hero.”
