’ award by Thai Anbu Trust.
A source in the know says, “It was the first death anniversary of Royapuram-based Dr S Jayachandran, who treated patients for just five rupees. A beloved of the working class, Dr Jayachandran was of the opinion that medical services should be available to everyone, irrespective of their socio-economic status. In memory of this good Samaritan, the trust has honoured Lawrence, who is known for his philanthropic activities, with

award. An emotional Lawrence profusely thanked everyone for the award and promised to do his best for others.”
Interestingly, Lawrence was bestowed with Annai Teresa award last year.
