Director Saran, who loves to dabble in scripts featuring dons, is back with
Market Raja MBBS
that stars
Arav,
Radikaa
Sarathkumar and Kavya Thapar in the lead. This film, too, has a don connect. But that’s nothing got to do with his earlier subjects, says the director. “Radikaa plays Arav’s mother, who is a don in Perambur. She has stepped into her father, MR Radha’s shoes to play this character. She will be mimicking MR Radha sir’s body language and voice modulation to a certain extent,” he says.
As we had reported earlier, Arav will be playing the role of a local don and a railway contractor in the film. Talking about the actor, Saran says, “It doesn’t feel like he’s a newbie. We have seen him on Bigg Boss Tamil, but audiences will see him in an all-new avatar in this film.”
Ask him about his fascination for gangster roles and he says, “They are interesting, aren’t they? I have dealt with gangsters in my previous films like Amarkalam, Attagasam, Gemini, and even Vasool Raja MBBS, but this film will be different. Arav will have more of an eccentric side to him.”
The team has completed almost 80% of the film’s shoot. They will begin their next schedule in Chennai, later this week. Simon K King is composing the music for this film, which has Saran’s brother KV Guhan cranking the camera.
