Radhika Apte, who is currently busy shooting with Ajmal for Rudhran's Vetri Selvan, seems to have learnt how to strike a balance between between her personal and professional life. She tells us that she's been quite busy recently with packed schedules, but admits she has balanced everything well. 'I have been travelling to different places for my films of late.
I don't really enjoy the hectic schedules, but I am happy when everything works out,' she says.
Despite working for 18 hours at a stretch, Radhika says it seems like just another day at office. 'It can get tough at times, but that's normal for an artist, and I'm definitely not complaining. However, I make sure I spend equal time at home with my family. I also pursue my other interests like theatre and dance,' says Radhika, who recently got engaged to London-based musician,
Benedict Taylor.
Meanwhile, talking about her role in
Vetri Selvan, she says, 'I play an advocate in the film. I am not generalising, but I think, the characters that actresses get to play in south Indian films usually are docile and depend on the hero's chivalry! But my character in the film is not the typical heroine, and I'm happy I got to play this one.'
