Raai Laxmi is Cinderella, after Nayan,Trisha give it a pass

Raai Laxmi, who is currently acting in Neeya 2, will next be seen in a female-centric film that will be like an Indian version of Cinderella. The Tamil version, also titled Cinderella, will be directed by Vinod Venkatesh, a debutant who was an associate to SJ Suryah on Isai.
“It is a multi-genre film, with elements of fantasy, horror, musical, thriller and drama.The story takes place in Chennai and in a dense forest, and we are planning to shoot the later portions either in Ooty or abroad. We are planning to start shoot in October,” begins the director, adding, “The film has three major characters.”
On Raai Laxmi’s role, he reveals, “It will be a very urban role. She will be playing a rock star, a guitarist. She will have three looks in the film. And there will not be any romantic interest for her character.” He informs that he had previously narrated the script to many actresses, from Nayanthara and Trisha to Amy Jackson, Hansika, Aishwarya Rajesh and Manisha Yadav. “They were all interested on hearing the title and the synopsis, however, for some reason or the other, none of them could take it up,” he says.
