Raaghav to make his debut as a director

Television actor Raaghav Ranganathan is all set to make his directorial debut with Ticket, a thriller film, that will be laced with subtle humour. The film stars Raaghav in the lead along with Karthik Kumar, Lakshmipriyaa Chandramouli and Sanam Shetty.
Talking about his debut, Raaghav says, ���I���m essentially a performer and I like telling stories with my performances.That���s what I did with my performances in shows like Jodi No 1, Super Kudumbam and Maanaada Mayilaada. Movies such as Endhiran and Nanjupuram gave me great reach as an actor, and the shows helped me create a connect with the audience. So, I wanted to try some storytelling on the big screen. I wrote a short story called The Two Day Window. I was initially thinking of making this into a short film. However, as I started fleshing out the crux of the story, I felt there was a lot more in this idea than just a short film. I narrated the story to a few friends and the story kept all of them engaged. So, I decided to write it into a full-length feature film script. Once I was done with the script, I sounded off the idea to my wife and asked her if we should pitch it to producers. She felt that she was ready to take on a second home production after Nanjupuram.���
The film deals with death and the actor says that it will one of those movies that deals about a serious topic in a light-hearted manner. He says, ���When somebody���s about to die, there���s a colloquial usage in Tamil ticket vaangittaan, which translates to ���He���s bought a ticket!��� (to the other side). Playing off on that usage, the movie is about a guy who finds out that it is the last day of his life,��� says Raaghav. Another highlight of this film is that the team has shot the film in two languages ��� Tamil and English. Ask him why and he says, ���The intent is to have the Tamil version to cater to local audiences and the English version to try and reach out to other audiences as well, because the storyline is pretty universal.���
Musician Navneeth Sundar makes his debut as a music director through this project.
