R Madhavan touched the audience's hearts through his portrayal of the former ISRO scientist Nambi Narayanan in his directorial debut ‘Rocketry: The Nambi Effect’. Today, on the scientist’s 82nd birthday, the actor took to his Instagram account to wish him with some precious pictures.

In the post, he shared some behind-the-scenes scenes from the movie set along with Nambi Narayanan’s younger pictures.One of these pictures features the actor with the scientist.

The actor captioned the post, ‘Wish you the happiest birthday ever Nambi Sir. May this year be blessed with the best of health and happiness that you truly deserve, and more. Thank you for always being a guiding force and Father Figure. With our utmost RESPECT AND unexplainable Love and Affection.’

‘Rocketry: The Nambi Effect’ won the Best Feature Film at the 69th National Film Awards in 2023.
While receiving the award, the actor shared his gratitude and love toward Nambi Narayanan for helping him make this happen. He shared the picture on Instagram after the award ceremony and wrote, 'A big heartfelt Thank you to the entire Rocketry team & everyone who supported our dream movie Rocketry. Words are not enough to express our sincere gratitude for this journey which has reached the highest national honor with us winning the Best Film at the 69th National Film Awards.'
