Public allowed to pay their respects at SP Balasubramaniam's memorial on the late singer's death anniversary

Today (Sep 25) marks the death anniversary of SP Balasubramaniam, while fans and cinema stars have been remembering the late singer on social media. Fans gathered in large numbers at SP Balasubramaniam's memorial to pay their respect for the beloved singer on the memorable day. But fans were denied entry due to the construction work happening in SP Balasubramaniam's memorial. Disappointed fans were then involved in a protest to permit them inside the memorial. However, the public and fans were then allowed to pay their last respect after the construction work had been put on hold. Therefore, fans paid their respect for SP Balasubramaniam by lighting candles and showering flowers.

S. P. Balasubramaniam was an important personality of South Indian cinema, and he sung more than 50 thousand songs across the South languages. In 2020, SPB aka SP Balasubramaniam was diagnosed with corona and he underwent treatment at a private hospital for more than a month. But unfortunately he died of a heart attack after recovering from corona, and his untimely demise shocked fans. Fans and celebrities gave a massive send-off for SP Balasubramaniam, and the singer was cremated with state honors at his farmhouse in Tamaraipakkam, near Red Hills.

Recently, SPB's son Charan requested that the street where S. P. Balasubramaniam lived in Chennai should be named after him and he submitted a petition at the Chief Minister's office. He submitted the request on behalf of the late singer's millions.
