Priya Mani's next is True Story

The last time Mollywood saw Priya Mani sizzling the screens was in B Unnikrishnan's Mohanlal-starrer, Grandmaster. Now, she is back in M-Town with not one, but two projects. It was earlier reported that Priya Mani will be playing the lead in Dr Biju's next film, Painting Life, along with Prithviraj. Now, the actress tells us that she has also signed up to play the lead in Anil Das' True Story.
'It's about a girl who is in search of her true identity. The script was so gripping that I couldn't let it go. The movie is likely to hit screens before Painting Life,' she says.
As the title suggests, the film, which also has Pratap Pothen in prominent role, is based on a true life incident. The director says he has witnessed one of his friends go through an identity crisis in his life, which inspired him to make this film. 'The film revolves around a normal person who loses his identity all of a sudden. He cannot recall who he is or where he is from,' says Anil. However, the director says the movie is not about memory loss.
Priya Mani, who seems to be making her moves carefully in the industry, shares that she has become a bit choosy of late. 'For me, script is the real hero in any language. I take up any project based on that and everything else is secondary,' she says.
