Priya Bhavani Shankar’s message to her ‘fake profile’

Fake profiles of celebrities on social media are nothing new. There have been instances where messages from these fake profiles have landed our stars in trouble! But namma Priya Bhavani Shankar has a peculiar problem. The actress, who’s amassed a huge number of fans and followers, is quite the hot property in K-Town, and this particular fan of hers, who also has a Twitter profile with her name, has been posting tweets, asking followers how ‘her’ performance in her recent release, Monster, was.
This user, from the handle @PriyaBShankar_ reads, has been posting pictures of Priya with captions like ‘I believe there was some sunshine in my soul that day’, and ‘Ok let me pose under request’. And with Monster nearing its release date, tweets varied from ‘Don't miss #Monster in theatres tomorrow ! Sure u guys will enjoy the movie :-)’ to ‘We are elated as a team for the positiveness and love we are receiving for ‘MONSTER’ check your nearest screen for ‘THE’ #monster.’ More recently, the user posted stills from the film and wrote, ‘How is #monster ..!!!’ and ‘Hope u all liked my performance in #Monster! And thanks for the compliments.’
Priya, who seemed clearly discomfited with all the tweets, wrote, “Dear fake profile! I understand your excitement and responsibility in posting something. But pls don’t make it as your duty to embarrass me in an hourly basis. Thanks but no thanks .”
