Premgi gets back to work with a new look

With the lockdown having been lifted for film shoots on September 1, Kollywood has got back on the floors and resumed shoots of pending projects or began new projects in the last couple of weeks. And actors, who had been in lockdown mode for the past few months, are also getting into work mode.

The latest in this list is actor Premgi Amaren, who had been sporting long hair and a beard, for the past six months, has now gone for a cropped-hair-and-clean-shaven look. "Hair cut and shave after 6 months of being jobless #BackToWork," the popular comedian and composer inform on Twitter to his fans.

Speculation is that the actor will begin shooting for Silambarasan TR's much-anticipated

Maanaadu

, which is being directed by his brother Venkat Prabhu. The film, which has a multi-star cast, began its shoot from February 2020, but the shooting was delayed once the lockdown came into effect in March. The team had shot for a couple of days in Chennai and ha left to Hyderabad in the first week of March for a long schedule, but returned after the Film Employees Federation of South India (FEFSI) announced that film shoots will be stopped following the outbreak of the pandemic.

Meanwhile, Premgi, who is playing the lead in Oru Kidayin Karunai Manu fame director Suresh Sangaiah's rural satire

Sathiya Sothanai

, has wrapped up the shoot of that film. The film, which will see him locking horns with an 80-year-old woman, is currently in its final stages of post-production.
