With the second wave of the COVID-19 pandemic resulting in loss of lives and livelihood, several Kollywood personalities have been donating money to the

Tamil

Nadu Chief Minister's

Public Relief Fund

to help the government in its fight against the pandemic. The latest among from the Tamil film fraternity to donate is actor Prashanth and his father Thiagarajan, who is also a actor-director.

Speaking to the press after handing over the cheque for

10 lakhs

to the Chief Minister MK Stalin, Thiagarajan said, " I met the respected Chief Minister. I have also provided financial assistance of Rs. 10 lakhs to the Chief Minister's General Relief Fund for Corona."

"The pace at which the Chief Minister is working is great and the operations are great. He is working very hard and it is like seeing an artist. I am very happy to meet him," added Thiagarajan.

It is to be noted that Bollywood blockbuster ‘Andhadhun’ (2018) is being remade in Tamil and is titled 'Andhagan’. The film will feature Prashanth in the lead role with Thiagarajan taking over the role of the director for this remake.
