The cast of Nivin Pauly's upcoming Tamil film is getting bigger. We had earlier reported that Shraddha Srinath, Natty Subramaniam and Lakshmi Priyaa Chandramouli are all part of the film; and now, the latest to join the team is Prakash Raj. Though the award-winning actor and director hasn't been signing too many films, debutant director Gautham Ramachandran says that
Prakash Raj was impressed with the script that he decided to come onboard.
Interestingly, he will be seen playing the role of pastor in the film. 'The name of his character is Father AK Sagayam. He has a dysfunctional relationship with his son. He is someone known to be a responsible pastor in the church, but in the process, he ignores his own parental duties. He harbours guilt, but, at the same time, he won't let it show. He puts God above everything and everyone else, including his own son. Prakash has begun shooting for his role in the film,' says Gautham, adding, 'He has cut down on the number of films he is taking up, as he is busy with direction and production. I met him through a common friend. He went through the dialogues and enthusiastically agreed to be a part of the project.' The team has completed shooting the first two schedules. 'We will begin shooting in Manapad from next week. The title, too, will be announced shortly,' says Gautham.
