Prajin, who is eagerly awaiting for the release of Pazhaya Vannarapettai, is all set to shoot his next. We hear that the VJ-turned-actor will team up with debutant director Kumaran, who has garnered awards for his tele-film, Viol. Director Kumaran says, '
Prajin was impressed with my one-liner during narration and immediately agreed to play the lead in my film.
Prajin has had enough struggles in this industry. He also believes that our film will be a comeback of sorts for him. The entire story revolves around betting. The film is set in Chennai. It's based on true incidents and I have even explored the connection of those incidents with historical happenings. The interval block will have an unpredictable twist, and second half will travel in a different genre.' Talking about his tele-film, he says, 'I recently made a tele-film titled, Viol, which means rape in French. It garnered good reviews, and won international awards. That's when I was introduced to Prajin.'
The team is planning to begin the shoot in January. 'I am talking to actors like Yogi Babu, Aadukalam Narein, Charles and a few others to be a part of this film. Jubin, who has done music for Pazhaya Vannarapettai, will be composing for this one, too. Cinematography will be handled by Arjun Raja,' adds Kumaran.
