Prabu was hesitant to cast Vikram

Prabu was hesitant to cast Vikram
Prabu Solomon is one director who believes that the casting should be right for any film to have a successful run at the BO. While his last hit, Mynaa, had relatively new faces Vitharth and Amala Paul in the lead, his next, Kumki, has debutants Vikram Prabhu and Lakshmi Menon in the lead.
Talking at the audio launch of his film, which has music by Imman, he said, "In my film, the elephant and the two leads play the most important roles.
1x1 polls
While I had 'auditioned' over 50 elephants before finally zeroing in on one, I still had not found the right man to play Bomman in the film. I was looking at someone who was at least 6 feet tall because the elephant was quite huge. I wanted someone who was tall, well-built and would be able to look imposing next to an elephant. An elephant expands its chest once in 10 minutes and I wanted my hero to bear it."
He continued, "That's when one of my friends told me that Prabhu's son Vikram was looking for an ideal launch and asked me to meet up with him once. I was a little hesitant because I feared he will also be a little healthy like his dad. That would not suit my requirements. But when Vikram came out of his room, I was mighty impressed because he was all that I was looking for in Bomman! I immediately decided he was my hero, and got him on board"
