. The film, which was released in 2014, is a thriller that was directed by Thanukumar. Written by Manimaran and produced by Vetrimaaran, the film had Harish, Anandhi, Achyuth Kumar and Mohan Raman in lead roles. It had a decent run in the theatres, too.

Now that the actor is in the top league after doing promising films like Pyaar Prema Kaadhal, Ispade Rajavum Idhaya Raniyum and most recently Dharala Prabhu, Harish took to his social media account to talk about Poriyaalan. He said, "For those who doubted my existence as an actor or if iv done films 5/6 years back, here is one such film which is close to my heart #Poriyaalan.
