Recently, it was announced that Sibi Sathyaraj and
Nandita
Sweta’s upcoming film directed by Pradeep Krishnamoorthy is titled
Kabadadaari
. Now, the team has roped in
Pooja Kumar for an important role in the film.
Dhananjayan Govind, who has written the adapted screenplay along with John Mahendran, says, “We wanted someone who is smart and popular. The character is that of an actress. We thought Pooja will fit the bill and approached her. She was enthusiastic about it and she will be coming down from the US for the project. Like we’ve mentioned earlier, even though it is inspired by a popular Kannada film (Kavaludaari), we have adapted it to suit our audiences. Similarly, we have enhanced Pooja’s role in the film, too.”
The team will begin shooting from tomorrow. “It is a single-schedule film — we will be wrapping up the film by the end of December. We will be shooting in Chennai and Hyderabad. Nasser and Jayaprakash will be playing pivotal roles in the movie,” adds Dhananjayan.
