According to a 123Telugu report, Pooja Hegde recently revealed that 'Retro' is the project she is most proud of. The 'Mohenjodaro' actor expressed her love for the movie, citing the shooting process, the energy on set, and the well-developed nature of her character as reasons for her enthusiasm.

As quoted in the news report, she said, "I am proud of all my films, but Retro is the film I am most proud of. I love everything about it. I love every bit of Retro, be it the way we shot it or created it. The team is full of energy on the set. My character is well-designed. I am telling this without even watching the full movie, as it is still in the editing process."

In a recent interview with Galatta, Pooja Hegde revealed that she landed the role in 'Retro' because of director Karthik Subbaraj's appreciation for her performance in 'Radhe Shyam,' despite the film's poor performance at the box office. She expressed happiness over the opportunity, viewing it as a stepping stone to exciting new projects.

For Pooja, it marks her return to Kollywood after her debut with 'Beast' opposite Thalapathy Vijay.

'Retro' features Suriya as Mathew Varadharajan and Pooja Hegde as Devi, his love interest. The cast also includes Jayaram, Joju George, Karunakaran, Nassar, and Prakash Raj.

Suriya is expected to sport two different looks in the film. The story revolves around a former gangster trying to live a peaceful life, but his past catches up with him.
