'Ponniyin Selvan' OTT rights bagged at a record price

Mani Ratnam’s magnum opus ‘Ponniyin Selvan’ is scheduled to release in theatres on September 30. It is one of the most anticipated films of 2022 and is a big release for Tamil cinema. The film features Vikram, Jayam Ravi, Karthi, Aishwarya Rai, Trisha, Sarath Kumar, Prabhu, Prakash Raj, Jayaram, Nassar, Vikram Prabhu, Parthiban, Aishwarya Lekshmi among others.
‘Ponniyin Selvan’ will be released in parts, and the first part is now all set to be out.The movie makers have also officially unveiled the character look of Vikram as Aditya Karikalan on July 4. Now, the makers have made a new announcement confirming the OTT partner of the film. A famous and major Indian digital streaming platform has got the post-theatrical streaming rights for ‘Ponniyin Selvan’ reportedly for a record price.
The makers confirmed the news by announcing it on Twitter. Partly produced by Mani Ratnam. ‘Ponniyin Selvan’ is a big-budget film, and it is currently in post-production. The music for the movie is composed by AR Rahman and the cinematography of the film is done by Ravi Varman. Moreover, the editing for the movie is done by Sreekar Prasad.
The movie is aiming for a pan-Indian release and will be out in Tamil, Hindi, Malayalam, Telugu and Kannada languages on September 30, 2022.
