Directed by Mani Ratnam, 'Ponniyin Selvan' is a historic epic drama adapted from the novel. The story revolves around the rise of Chola Empire. Starring Vikram, Jayam Ravi, Karthi, Trisha and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan in the lead roles, the music for the movie is composed by AR Rahman. The film has huge expectations from audience and it is expected that the movie will break all the set records in the box office till date.
