Pichaikkaran 2' box office collection day 2: Vijay Antony starrer mints Rs 10 crore

Making his directorial debut, Vijay Antony helmed the film 'Pichaikkaran 2' which was released in theatres on May 19. The film starred Vijay Antony, Kavya Thapar in lead roles. The movie after its release got mixed reviews in theatres. Fand and movie audience were not very happy with the film as the expectation was very high for the film.
Taking to social media, the movie makers officially announced that the movie made Rs 8 crore in theatres worldwide in Tamil and Telugu. Sharing a poster, actor Vijay Antony revealed that the movie in Tamil, 'Pichaikkaran 2' made gross of Rs 3.25 crore and in Telugu, 'Bichagadu 2', it made a gross of Rs 4.5 crore. Now, the film on day 2, is said to have made a gross of Rs 5 crore.
Reportedly, the movie has minted more than Rs 10 crore in two days. The film is a sequel to the 2014 hit film 'Pichaikkaran'. Though it is not a continuation of the same story, the film had a huge anticipation and it looks like the movie after day 1, as slowly picked up at the box office over the weekend.
Directed by Vijay Antony, 'Pichaikkaran 2' stars Vijay Antony, Kavya Thapar, John Vijay, Harish Peraddi, YG Mahendran, Ajay Ghosh, and Yogi Babu. The music for the movie is composed by Vijay Antony.
