Pic: Simbu, Mani Ratnam on the sets of ‘Chekka Chivantha Vaanam’

We all know that Simbu is teaming up with ace filmmaker Mani Ratnam for ‘Chekka Chivantha Vaanam’, an upcoming multi-starrer film.
While the shooting is progressing at a breakneck speed, a picture of Simbu and Mani Ratnam on the sets of the film has gone viral on the internet.
The picture was shared by none other than National Award-winning cinematographer Santosh Sivan on Twitter.Interestingly, Santosh Sivan, Mani Ratnam and Arvind Swami had a mini ‘Thalapathy’ reunion on the sets.
Sharing the photo, Sivan wrote, “Since Thalapathy days.” On the contrary to earlier reports, Simbu is not playing an engineer in the film. The ‘Vinnaithaandi Varuvaaya’ star is currently hitting the gym to get back in shape.
‘Chekka Chivantha Vaanam’ stars Simbu, Vijay Sethupathi, Arvind Swami and Arun Vijay in the lead. Tipped to be an action-thriller, the film is said to revolve around four brothers.
Also starring Jyothika, Aishwarya Rajesh, Aditi Rao Hydari and Prakash Raj in supporting roles, ‘Chekka Chivantha Vaanam’ is jointly produced by Madras Talkies and Lyca Productions.
The film has music by AR Rahman and is likely to release in the second half of this year.
