Vishal’s much-awaited ‘Irumbu Thirai’ finally hit the screens on May 11, despite some controversies. Even before its release, the makers were confident about their product and organised a special screening in Chennai, where the first half was shown to the media. Upon release, ‘Irumbu Thirai’ opened to rave reviews from critics, who particularly appreciated the screenplay and performances.
Earlier today, the makers hosted a success party, which saw the presence of the lead actors Vishal and Arjun Sarja.Both PS Mithran and Vishal spoke about the challenges they faced before the release. On the other hand, Arjun Sarja stated that he is elated about the success of ‘Irumbu Thirai’.
Touted to be a cyber-crime thriller, Vishal plays an army officer, who is said to be suffering from anger management issues. Basking in the success of ‘Mahanati’, Samantha Akkineni plays the female lead, who was equally praised for her character in the film. It also stars Delhi Ganesh and Robo Shankar in important roles. Directed by debutant PS Mithran, the film has music by Yuvan Shankar Raja. The makers have released a Telugu dubbed version titled ‘Abhimanyudu’.
